Best Deals on Coppola Brazilian Keratin Treatment For Hair

I read about this product in a magazine since i have long curly/frizzy hair-and wanted to try it- after seeing pictures with great results. My hairstlyist Used this on me and it smells like a chocolate martini. after flat ironing my hair- it is what i call ASIAN STRAIGHT right out of the shower.

My hair dries in 1/4 of the time too- because the hair follicles are full of this keratin product- my hair cannot curl or frizz. Its been about a month and its still working beautifully. I used to have to spend an hour straightening my hair- and now i spend 3 min max- going over a few strands that have a bump in them fom a ponytail holder. My hair still still smells faintly of chocolate too.

Im never going to stop using this i swear. I went out in the rain yesterday without an umbrella- and i still looked flawless when i got to work. BEAT THAT!

Excellent purchase., August 14, 2010

I was very pleased with this purchase. There are a lot of fakes of this product running around so you do have to be careful who you buy from. Before I made the purchase, I wrote and asked how I would know it was authentic. They wrote back with a link which shows that they are an authorised distributor and when I received the product, they had enclosed a letter assuring the authenticity.

Anyway, that done. The product itself is fab and smells great! Well worth it and it will last you for ages as you only need to use it every once in a while. For me, I’d say every 6 to 8 weeks or so. I can now blow dry my hair without having to straighten it with straightening irons, so my hair is being kept more healthy.

One tip – don’t use too much or you will find it almost impossible to blow dry and seal in. Otherwise, fab product, would definitely recommend! Remember to use shampoo that is sulfate and sodium free or you will just end up stripping the product from your hair too soon.

Great Product, can’t live without, July 23, 2010

I first bought this product just to try it out since it was so expensive to get a keratin treatment in a salon. I have used this product for more then a year and a half now. I have my cousin do my treatment every 4 months and my hair looks GREAT. It really eliminates the frizz especially on humid and rainy days. Make sure to use the proper shampoo and conditioner because it actually makes it last for about 4 months. Make sure not to saturate the hair all you need is a little bit. I have done it about 4 or 5 times already and it’s only half way done. I would definitely recommend this and well worth it.

Comparable to the salon treatment but CHEAPER!, February 25, 2010

I have SUPER curly, frizzy hair so my mom told me I should give this a shot. I initially had the brazilian keratin treatment done at an Ulta salon and it cost me 0. While I absolutely loved the results, my hair was back to it’s original state within 2 months. It didn’t completely straighten my hair but it relaxed a lot of the curl and elimated most of the frizz. I ended up using less than half as much mousse I would normally use and my hair looked healthy, shinny and I had much less breakage. It also made it a lot easier to brush.

I searched online and bought the QOD Gold kit and purchased the babyliss pro ceramic flat iron (separately) and did the treatment myself at home (with some help from my mom because I couldn’t see the back on my hair).

I’ve got to say, the results came out amazing! The great thing is.. I paid about 0 for the whole kit (which is a lot of $ $ $ up front) but considering the kit gives you about 10-12 treatments, that would cost almost 00 at the salon!

I would highly recommend this product!!

P.S. If you do order it, remember not to saturate the hair too much.. use just enough product to get it well coated. If you use too much it’s impossible to dry and your hair will be left with a slightly waxy feel to it.

QOD Gold Kit, August 16, 2010

I have naturally curly hair and have tired various ways to tame it/ straighten it over the years. Nothing that I tried in the past worked very well. I read in a magazine about some actresses that had Brazilian Blowouts done to their hair. I asked my local hairstylist about it and she was unfamiliar with it so I went to the internet. I was leery about trying something myself but this product got good reviews so I ordered it. I would suggest applying the product when you have a couple of days in your schedule when you don’t have to go anywhere important. The reason being, you cannot shampoo your hair, nor use any kind of clips, bands, hats, etc. on your hair for 48 hours. That was the worst part of the process (and the fumes are strong too.) My hair has never been straighter or shinier! Even with high humidity days.

This is a great product. It smooths the hair, make it very easy to handle.

On the bad side, the kit is expensive and when applying it the smell and fumes are very strong.

Loved my first BKT, August 18, 2010

This was my first keratin treatment and I do love the results…Shiny, vibrant, silky, stronger and plenty of swang and NO FRIZZ. I am African American with 4a/b extra frizzy shoulder length hair. I relaxed my hair the week prior then colored the day of which was risky due to relaxer only. Ok ladies buy a breathing mask, use gloves & do this outside on your patio, drive way if possible. Have good ventilation open all windows, have fans on etc… Use a good ceramic flat iron that goes up to 400 or 450 max. If you just colored I would not recommend more then 400 on hair that’s suicidal. I used the Original formula which has formaldehyde & I have no breathing issues such asthma etc & the fumes were very strong for me. We coughed, had watery eyes, & experienced irritated throat but we took lot of breaks.

Apply lightly to avoid tackiness & lots of smoke. If hair still tacky it requires more passes of flat iron at 450 degrees (please use you discretion based on you hair’s present health), until it becomes silky & completely sealed or wait until wash day 4 days later. Don’t panic hair will feel weird or protected. A little goes a long way but you can do it safely at home if you follow directions with help of a friend. You just need to lightly brush a little on and comb it thru to ends. Do not apply to scalp per instructions. Should take 2-3 hours but take as long as you need no sense in frying your hair. Avoid water, sweating, or any type of moisture or liquid in your hair for 4 days, as well as no pony tails, hair pins etc. No bending but as an AA had to wrap under silk scarf to sleep. The results were worth it all after my first wash, 4 days later. My 1 hour drying time for rollerset hair is now only 25 minutes and no need to blowdry roots afterwards just wrap for 10 min and lots of body. A 16 oz bottle should do 3 to 4 heads depending on length.

In the future I will try formaldehyde free version of Rejuvenol or 24 hour. Watch a lot of videos on youtube first & do your research on internet and see Long Hair Care Forum for support and tesimonials. I will continue to use Rejuvenol because their after care products are readily available in beauty supplies & Amazon and I felt very safe with their beauty reputation prior to Keratin craze. The company is based in NY if you have a problem and they speak English an ingredients are readily available & public. Please follow easy instructions to a T and don’t risk your health if you feel overcome with fumes take breaks or stop. No one got sick doing my hair but we did feel the irritation from smoke so I caution anyone with breathing issues. The fumes were serious remove pets & children from vicinity as a precaution.

My hair looks glossy and smotth , dries crazy fast….it still needs a little touch up with an iron on the top layer to smooth out the most damaged pats and give it a glossy look. But I couldn’t ever acheive glossy on my own before and now it shines and swings like a shmpoo commercial! And my coarse hair feels incredibly soft. I have never got so many compliments as I have in the last three weeks, and not just on my hair but on me. Because fabulous hair makes a huge difference in your overal look! This is such a bargain compared to Inoar and Goldwell I may pick up anoother even thouch it’ll be 18 -21 months before I’m done with this one.

I did it by myself at home, it wasn’t hard at all. I had the windows open and a ceiling and desk fan going. I was not able to do the section/ brush on thing too well, so i massged it a bit and combed it through. It rained for three days and it stilll came out great! I reironed sections that caught a lot of water, The worst areas, I smoothed on a little extra and redid the ironing on the second day. It feels like it really repaired my hair, I only have to use the lightest conditioner. I didn’t buy the before or after shapoos, just Suave clarifying before and that drugstore Loreal Sulfate free, they work just fine.

Love love love this stuff.

****This is the same review I placed for the 16oz bottle, but this item is an excellent price for the 32 oz bottle. Most websites offer the 32 oz bottle for 0 and up to 0. I normally buy the 16 oz. bottle which will give me approximately gives me 4 treatments, but the 32 oz. bottle for the current price of 5 it is like I am getting double the product for only 1/4 more than I paid for the 16 oz bottle. Great buy.****

If you have frizzy, thick curly hair this is the best treatment you can splurge yourself to. It will eliminate about 95% of the curl and frizz. Keratin restores and restructures hair. By infusing (letting product sit and flat ironing it in) the keratin goes deep onto the damaged cuticle and your hair will come out silky smooth and shiny. It also penetrates the hair follicle with a keratinous bond to promote healing. It can last up to 3 to 5 months depending on how often you wash your hair. I am not a professional hairdresser and did not want to spend 0 to get this done in a salon. The bottle does NOT come with detailed instructions, just a brief overview printed on it. I was able to find more detailed instructions online.

Instructions as follows:

1. Dry, brittle, over-processed hair should be pre-conditioned prior to treatment. I used the COPPOLA by Coppola: KERATIN COMPLEX VANILLA BEAN DEEP CONDITIONER WITH KERATIN. After shampooing my hair and towel drying, I applied the conditioner, put on a plastic cap and sat under a hair dryer for 20 minutes. Rinse only ONCE with a clarifying shampoo.

2. If you are not pre-conditioning your hair prior to treatment, you are to shampoo with a clarifying shampoo two times for chemically treated hair, three times for virgin, coarse, resistant or gray hair.

3. Blow dry until your hair is 100% dry.

4. Shake bottle well. Pour 2-3 oz. of Keratin Complex Natural Keratin Smoothing Treatment solution into a bowl. Let the solution sit for at least 10 to 15 minutes. Using gloves, apply to hair with a brush using 1/2″ sections. Keep product away from scalp but try to get it as close as possible. Comb through every section with a fine tooth comb until hair is completely saturated. Do not over saturate the hair, it should not be dripping. If there is any solution collected on the comb, wipe the excess off with a towel. Make sure that the solution is evenly distributed.

5. Place hair in plastic cap such as Elastic Plastic Processing Caps.

6. For chemically treated or damaged hair, allow hair to absorb solution for 20 minutes. For very resistant, coarse hair, allow hair to absorb solution for 30 minutes.

7. After the solution has absorbed for the specific time period, blow dry hair on medium or high heat with a paddle brush/vent brush until it is 100% dry.

8. With a heat resistant comb, divide hair into 4 to 6 sections depending on length and density of hair.

9. Using a 450 degree flat iron, start at the nape of the neck taking 1/8 inch sections. The sections should be small enough that you should be able to see your hand through the hair. Slowly move the iron from root to ends 5-7 times (7-10 times for extremely curly, coarse hair) infusing the keratin into the hair shaft. For chemically treated or damaged hair reduce heat to 420-430 degrees and pay special attention to not over iron the ends.

10. After 3 days or 72 hours, hair should be washed with a sulfate free shampoo and conditioner. You can pretty much use any coniditoner you want since most conditioners do not have sulfrates in them. I suggest David Babaii for WildAid Hydrating Shampoo – 13.5 oz. / David Babaii for WildAid Hydrating Conditioner – 13.5 oz. or PUREOLOGY HYDRATE SHAMPOO & CONDITIONER 33 OZ DUO. DO NOT USE clips, place your hair behind your ears or pull it up in a pony tail during the 72 hours.

Your hair will come out frizz free, extremely shiny and healthier. Blow drying time is cut in half and I normally do not even have to use a flat iron for retouch except for my bangs. When I let my hair dry naturally, my hair comes out with a soft wave that has no frizz. When it is necessary to have the treatment done again, it is applied to the entire head just like before. Build-up of keratin will improve you hair shaft giving lifeless dull hair a healthier feel and shine.

Great deal on a great product!!!, September 23, 2010

I’m a 25 year hair veteran in Los Angeles and I have been using this product for almost 2 years now on my clients!!! I love the Keratin Complex Treatment, but more importantly, I love the the price from this company (as of now, because they are the lowest around). I have been paying over 0.00 a bottle until I found this link, so I’m thrilled to save some $ $ $ … As long as they keep the price low, I’ll continue to purchase this product from them…
